Bow

A projectile weapon. Bows varied in form and length. So, an arabian bow differed from a turkish one - the former was longer. Bows were made of wood, bone or horn of a mountain goat (some short bows). Their shots reached distance of 100 - 150 meters by rate of 10 to 12 shots per minute. But these parameters meant nothing without considering the shooter's physical condition since a tired soldier wasn't able to quickly draw a bow-string. Arrows with armour piercing tips could hit through chain mail. Eastern warriors usually kept their bows in special cases and arrows in quivers.
